Damaged fan blade

If your Maytag refrigerator is noisy, either the evaporator or condenser fan blade can be damaged. The blades may scrape against a panel or bracket. Check both blades to determine whether they have any obstructions. If so, they can be replaced independently of the motors.

Faulty evaporator fan motor

If the evaporator fan motor of your refrigerator is defective, it will generate a lot of noise. Pay attention that noise will be much louder when the refrigerator door is opened. If you have determined this component is the source of noise, replace it with a new one.

Malfunctioning condenser fan motor
